Every day, workers unload, transport, display and sell fruit and vegetables at Milan’s wholesale produce market. Work begins during the night, with trading starting in the early morning. The market handles over 750,000 tonnes of produce a year, supplying shopkeepers, market traders and restaurateurs.These portraits were made for Sogemi, in collaboration with the agency Gellify, at the fruit and vegetable market within Foody, Milan’s food market complex managed by Sogemi.
