Few had heard of Yuri Romanò, who, despite starting lower in the pecking order, proved decisive in every match. Francesco Recine earned his spot on the national team as an attacker, defying expectations that his physique would place him in the libero role. Leonardo Scanferla showed that the word "impossible" had no place in his vocabulary.
